Use Skuup from Claude or ChatGPT

Connect Skuup to your AI assistant and name your price without leaving the conversation. Paste a product link, say what you will pay, and Skuup takes that price to the stores that carry the item. When a store says yes, you get a payment link and pay the store directly. Nothing is bought until you do.

How to connect

  1. Add the Skuup connectorIn your assistant's connectors or apps settings, add Skuup (the server address is https://ext.skuup.co/mcp when you add it yourself).
  2. Sign in with your emailSkuup emails you a 6-digit code; type it and click Allow. If you already use the Skuup extension or app, use the same email so your offers stay together.
  3. Name your pricePaste a product link and the price you will pay. Your assistant asks you to confirm the item, the price and the quantity before any offer goes out.

What your assistant can do with Skuup

  • Read a product page as Skuup sees it: title, brand, list price, barcode when the page carries one. No offer is made.
  • Find stores that carry an item, live, with prices.
  • Make an offer: Skuup finds the stores that carry the exact item and asks each one once. Stores with the Skuup app answer at once; others answer by email, usually within days.
  • Check your offers: status, a store's counter, the payment link when a store accepts. Every offer also has its own Skuup page with the same, and the pay button when a store accepts.
  • Answer a counter, change how long you will wait, or withdraw an offer. Your assistant confirms with you first.
  • Buy now at the list price from a store that uses the Skuup app, with a payment link back.

What Skuup receives, and what it never sees

  • Skuup receives only what a request needs: the product page, the price you named, the quantity, the ZIP code it ships to, and your email when you sign in.
  • Skuup never receives your conversation, never takes a card number in the chat, and never shows one shopper another shopper's offers or a store's private pricing.
  • Payment happens on a page on ext.skuup.co or on the store's own checkout, through Stripe. The assistant only passes you the link.

For developers and reviewers: the tools and their classes

The connector is an MCP server at https://ext.skuup.co/mcp (OAuth 2.1 with PKCE; client metadata documents and dynamic registration both accepted). Nine tools, each annotated as read-only or not in its MCP metadata. The classes below follow the usual three for assistant connectors: a read changes nothing; a write changes something on the shopper's account and runs only after the shopper has confirmed the request in the conversation; a sensitive write is a purchase commitment the shopper then pays on the store's checkout, confirmed every time and never remembered as a standing permission. No tool moves money: Skuup never holds, transfers or custodies funds, and a card number is never taken in the chat.

respond_to_counterAccepts or declines a store's counteroffer; accepting returns the payment link.Sensitive write when accepting (a new price is a new commitment); write when decliningThe shopper confirms the counter price, in the words, before an acceptance; a counter is never accepted on the strength of the original offer.

Every accepted offer names the store, the full price, the quantity and the ship-to ZIP; taxes and shipping are shown on the store's checkout before payment, and the store's return policy link rides on the offer when the store publishes one. Offers carry their own status (open, countered, accepted, declined, withdrawn, expired, paid), and the receipt is the store's. Every consent grants the nine tools and the shopper confirms each write in the conversation; a read-only consent is not offered yet.

Disconnecting

Open Settings in the Skuup extension, find Connected apps, and click Disconnect next to the assistant. Its access ends at once; it has to sign in again to continue. You can also remove the connector on the assistant's side.
